Kadane Corner, located at the intersection of State Highways 25 and 258 in southwestern Wichita County, Texas, is historically known for its brief oil boom in the late 1930s. The town was founded after oil was discovered on the former Ikard ranch in 1937 by George and Jack Kadane.
While it saw intense activity for a few months, the anticipated long-term growth never materialized, and Kadane Corner remained a quiet, rural area.
